US and EU sanctions against Russia, Belarus and Donbass regions

Starting February 21, 2022, the United States and the European Union have launched a series of economic and financial sanctions against Russia, the Donbass regions and Belarus following the Russian military invasion of Ukraine. The sanctions target individuals and entities, strategic industrial sectors and the Russian and Belarusian financial system and place trade restrictions on the Ukrainian regions of Donetsk and Lugansk.
